Dear RAC EXperts,

I do NOT have DNS configuration for RAC setup.

Even i do not know how to setup DNS.

I am using /etc/hosts file only.

But why 3 SCAN enabled (3 scan vip and 3 scan listeners are running)

DB & GRID versions are :  11.2.0.3

OS                                   :  OL 6.5

>> On Node1

[grid@RAC1 ~]$ srvctl status scan

SCAN VIP scan1 is enabled

SCAN VIP scan1 is running on node rac2

SCAN VIP scan2 is enabled

SCAN VIP scan2 is running on node rac1

SCAN VIP scan3 is enabled

SCAN VIP scan3 is running on node rac1

>>

[grid@RAC1 ~]$ srvctl status scan_listener

SCAN Listener LISTENER_SCAN1 is enabled

SCAN listener LISTENER_SCAN1 is running on node rac2

SCAN Listener LISTENER_SCAN2 is enabled

SCAN listener LISTENER_SCAN2 is running on node rac1

SCAN Listener LISTENER_SCAN3 is enabled

SCAN listener LISTENER_SCAN3 is running on node rac1

>>

[grid@RAC1 ~]$ lsnrctl status listener_scan2
