Hi, My Oracle Cloud free tier instance has been capped at ~48 Mbps for the past few weeks, down from the expected 4 Gbps. No changes were made on my end.
Instance specs:
- Shape: VM.Standard.A1.Flex
- OCPUs: 4
- RAM: 24 GB
- Network bandwidth (advertised): 4 Gbps
- Region: eu-paris-1
OS: Ubuntu 6.17.0-1011-oracle #11~24.04.1-Ubuntu SMP aarch64
Speedtest result (run from the instance itself): Server: Scaleway - Paris (id: 61933) ISP: Oracle Cloud Download: 48.71 Mbps Upload: 48.16 Mbps Latency: 1.15 ms (idle), packet loss: 0%
The cap is constant, not intermittent. Latency is perfect (1ms idle), packet loss is 0%, the instance is fully up to date, and there is no unusual bandwidth consumption on my end. It appeared overnight with no changes on my side.
This looks like a hard 50 Mbps throttle applied at the infrastructure level. Is this a known issue in eu-paris-1? Has anyone else experienced this recently, or is there a way to open a support ticket without a paid support plan?
Thanks
