Using precompiled user objects

I'm trying to use one class inside of another. I created the first class "Parse" and compiled it. The file Parse.class is in my working directory. Now when I create an object Parse myparse = new Parse(); in my second class "Find", and try to compile it, I get an error stating the compiler cannot resolve the symbol Parse. All files are in the same directory. I am using jdk 1.3 on my home computer, which is running Windows 95.
Now, if I try this on my university account, everything compiles correctly, and I can run it.
Can anyone tell me if I need to change some settings on my home p.c. to get this to compile and run?

Thanks,
~Tom
