As previously commented I install Solaris 11.4 on an OLD Clevo Laptop with an i7-3XXX processor, but with 32 gb Ram, 2 by 2TB HHD, 64GB SSD and an nvidia Geforce 675MX graphics card that complements the Intel 4000.
Whilst Windows 10 and OpenSuse will install correctly when the BIOS chip is set to “Windows 8 and Secure Boot”, Solaris 11.4 balks. Whilst the system is written to a separate 500GB partition it fails to work nicely - the boot console screen locks with a blank screen and no keyboard response necessitating a hard reboot. (which just means going round the same loop again.)
Resetting the BIOS to “Other” enables installation.
I surmise the issue is compatibility to any based UEFI.
Thoughts on a possible solution would be helpful to enable multiboot capability with Windows 10/Other systems.

John
