Signing panel on generated PDF (I know, it doesn't have one but...)

Skip MoreheadAug 12 2025

I know DocGen currently does not support signing a PDF with a signing panel but I'd like to get this on your radar.

We have built an on-line enrollment system for LTC Insurance in APEX. There are many disclosures and other forms that are filled in with data collected during the enrollment process. At the end we create a Benefits Confirmation which is a fairly complex template.

There are many states that have variations on the different forms so the total is over well over 100 forms we are managing. For forms/disclosures that need a signature, the insurance carriers let us put the text ‘digitally signed by <user> at <timestamp>’ when they complete the appication and enter a pin.

All of this works very well, we have no issues with what we have working in DocGen.

We have one form, a HIPAA notice, that must be signed with a wet signature and we cannot do the ‘digitally signed…’ trick.

For just this one form we have had to implement it using a third-party form tool (think Docusign) that allows us to capture a wet signature. One form out over over 100.

Is there a feature request area for DocGen where we can log these request, and hopefully get some voting on the request? We'd like to get out from under the third-party tool as quickly as we can.

Thanks,
Skip
