We are currently using the Redwood experience to convert Pending Workers in Oracle HCM.
During the conversion process, the Proposed Start Date field is editable. We have been advised that there is currently no delivered configuration option to make this field read-only.
From a SOX compliance perspective, our auditors have raised concerns that users performing the Pending Worker conversion should not be able to modify the Proposed Start Date, as this could result in unauthorized changes to a key employment date.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
If so:
- How have you addressed the compliance concern?
- Have you implemented any compensating controls, approvals, auditing, or customisations?
- Has Oracle provided any recommended approach or enhancement roadmap for restricting updates to this field in the Redwood experience?
We'd be interested in hearing how other organisations have handled this requirement, particularly those operating in SOX-regulated environments.
