rcpbind running full-tilt
807557Jan 9 2009 — edited Jan 19 2009I have a Solaris 10_x86 system running on a Sunfire X4100. Several times a day, rpcbind will begin consuming all of the processor's CPU time
PID USERNAME LWP PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME CPU COMMAND
7096 daemon 1 50 0 2764K 1484K cpu/0 543:20 48.68% rpcbind
Did an rpcinfo -m. It looks normal.
netstat shows many bindings of sunrpc
with localhost.non service-specific ports in a CLOSE-WAIT state.
Local Address Remote Address Swind Send-Q Rwind Recv-Q State
localhost.sunrpc localhost.43427 49152 0 49152 0 CLOSE_WAIT
Any ideas as to what is causing this or how to prevent it?
