Quick question about configuring Oracle with PHP
881430Aug 9 2011 — edited Aug 12 2011I need to add the Oracle module extension (oci8.so) to my PHP install; is it absolutely necessary to recompile my PHP with the "./configure --with-oci8" step in order for it to work properly? If so, would one typically need root access to recompile PHP onto a Red Hat server?
