We are using weblogic portal 10.2

I have included my javascript file using a .dependencies file in my portlet as described in the edocs (http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs100/portlets/building.html). Unfortunately my page renders my form names as <input type="text" name="portletInstance_8vehicle_vehicle_lpn"> whereas in the javascript they are being rendered as portletInstance_8_vehicle_vehicle_lpn (notice the extra _ ) in the name. We are using struts modules in the portals.

Any suggestions?
