Prerequisites for Using Oracle Spatial AI with Oracle 19c and OML4Py

Snur AminJun 12 2025

Dear Oracle Forum,

We are currently planning to use Oracle Spatial AI in our existing environment and would appreciate some support in understanding the necessary prerequisites and configurations.

Our current setup is as follows:

  • Database server: Oracle 19c Enterprise Edition
  • Server-side installation: OML4Py
  • Client-side: Python 3.12 with OML4Py successfully installed

While we are able to import oml in our Python environment without any issues, we are unable to import **oraclesai**. This raises the following questions:

  1. What are the prerequisites to use Oracle Spatial AI with Oracle 19c?
  2. Are there any specific packages, patches, or configurations required on either the server or client side?
  3. Is Oracle Spatial AI supported in our current setup, or is a newer version of the database or other components required?

Any advice, documentation links, or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance for your support!

Best regards
