Hello. We are in the process of building out our Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP product. We are leveraging the Entra/Azure AD Integration via a separate identity domain using the Oracle Fusion Applications Release 13 connector for User Provisioning. This is working really well to bring in users from Entra/Azure AD with their user information and the Fusion Role they should have. We are looking to see if there is a way to use this same mechanism (or similar) to populate the HCM Associated Worker information as well?
Currently we have to manually login to the HCM area of fusion as a Human Resource Manager Role, add the basic information for a person to create the Person ID. We are only capturing information such as Name, Hire Date, Email, Employee ID, Manager, Business Unit, Department and Whether or not they have approvals.
Current Process - Lookup the user in our Workday System (And no - we will not be able to integrate Workday at this time), to obtain the basics and then login to Fusion and manually input these pieces of information. Most already exist in Active Directory, so available.
Future State - We really only want to add a user to Entra/Azure AD groups and let the provisioning mechanisms populate their HCM Data for the Associated Worker Information as well as the User Information (Already works) and Fusion Roles (Already Works).
Has anyone been successful in this? We are trying to automate the entire Identity process and leave the manual touches out and leave for exceptions or overrides.
Thanks in advance
This was marked as a duplicate to my other inquiry but they are separate issues. please re-open for comments.
Additionally - Found this article which looks like it may do what I am looking for, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/saas-apps/oracle-hcm-provisioning-tutorial. My question, since we already have the Azure Integration with an OCI Identity domain for User Provisioning, can we leverage this or do we still need another integration to populate the HCM Module.?
