Over the last few weeks, I have been experimenting with a prototype focused on Oracle Forms/Reports impact analysis and dependency management.
The idea is to combine Oracle Dictionary metadata with Forms/Reports source analysis in order to navigate relationships between:
- Forms
- Reports
- Tables
- Views
- Packages
- Procedures
- Functions
- Cross-schema references
Current capabilities include:
- Find Usage
- Impact Analysis
- Interactive dependency graph
- Navigation from database objects to Forms triggers and program units
- Procedure-to-table relationships
