Oracle Forms 14.1.2 FRM-32093 error

RaffyMartinFeb 12 2025 — edited Feb 12 2025

Hello,

We're planning on deploying the new latest Oracle Forms & Reports 14.1.2 for the latest release of our app, however, we came across an issue which is a deal breaker, and which is FRM-32093: Maximum records displayed value may position item BLOCK.BUTTON off of canvas.

This is due to the fact that we have many tabular forms where you may have 10 records being displayed and then you have a few buttons for example where you just set the “Number of Items Displayed" property to 1 on those buttons so you can position the buttons to the bottom of the canvas for example as they are a Cancel and OK buttons for example, however, in the latest version of forms when this is compiled it is failing with FRM-32093: Maximum records displayed value may position item BLOCK.BUTTON off of canvas. So this seems to be a bug as there's no issues with the same forms when this one is compiled on 12.2.1.4.

I was looking forward to the Oracle Forms 14.1.2 QPR to see if that would be addressed, however, there are no QPR for latest version yet. Maybe this could be addressed as one-off patch.

Best Regards,

Raffy Martin.
