Oracle EPBCS - Data Management - Import Format Error

Balakrishnan IyerSep 23 2024 — edited Sep 23 2024

Hi All,

For a direct data load from Oracle Fusion to Oracle EpBCS cube, we had created a connection via application→data exchange. This was running fine with all the import formats, location and DLR correctly defined.

We wanted to rename the connection name in data management. Wed did not have any other option then to delete the connection and recreate again with the proper name. Hence, we went in this order

1. Delete the Data Load Rule. 2. delete the location from import format 3. delete the connection.

We then created a new connection. Refreshed the metadata and members. Created new import format and provided the same import format name. We got the error “Name already exists”. Subsequently we tried giving a new name and saved the import format. The File does not get saved though no message is given. We tried creating a new location and assign this created import format but couldn't find in the list.

Upon scrutinizing the Process details via data management, we find that the source members are not refreshed. Anyway we can fix this issue?

Regards

Bk
