Java SE (Java Platform, Standard Edition)

Hi,

I am supposed to write a client program that implements HTTP, FTP and POP3. The detailed specification is available at http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~cs9331/assignment.html .

I am not sure as to how to go about writing the program as I have never written a program of this scale before. I have read the RFC's and know a little bit of socket programming. How do I take it from there? Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
