In the event that your Dyn Remote Access (Dynamic DNS, DynDNS Pro) service expires before you have a chance to renew it, follow these instructions to restore your service.
Caution: Hostnames are immediately removed from expired Remote Access (DynDNS Pro, Dynamic DNS) instances and returned to the pool of available addresses at that time. It’s imperative to move quickly on these steps if your names are taken out as a result of an expiration event.
1. Contact Dyn Customer Support via Email to request the list of names that were erased to be sent to you.
2. If you have already re-purchased Remote Access, you can add your lost hostnames back into the system. Click on Add Host Services from your account control panel to get started. If you haven’t re-purchased Remote Access (DynDNS Pro) and need assistance, click here for help.
3. Every hostname you wish to restore must be manually reconfigured. Need a refresher on creating Remote Access hostnames? Click here for help.
4. Once the hostnames are recreated, updates will occur as long as your updaters in the field are still running.
