Monthly Hyperion Maintenance

We are running Hyperion 9.2.0.2 w/ the majority of the modules (HFM, Shared Svcs, BI, etc). We had a 3rd party consultant here for 1.5 yrs who recommended backing up and clearning out the logs prior to the monthly close; however, he did not document what logs he backed up/cleared out and how he did it. Can anyone shed some light on this topic?
