Does Oracle advise on minimum server specs ?
Since “_Installing and configuring a customer managed environment for ORDS is only supported with Autonomous Database_.” and planning dedicated ORDS compute instance within Oracle OCI running Oracle Linux, then question could be
What is smallest Oracle OCI Compute Instance Shape for Linux running (only) Customer Managed ORDS ?
Expect run-time scenarios :
- very few concurrent users ( < 10) + large data uploads/downloads (100 MB )
- high # concurrent users ( 100+) + small data uploads/downloads ( few KB )
These are likely to be 2 different environments : i.e. separate ORDS/ADB for each.
In both cases, other data resource intensive work will be on Autonomous Database.
Once up and running, happy to monitor ORDS and scale up / migrate to larger compute instance if necessary but want to start as small (and cheap) as possible.
I realise this question might be a bit old-skool in cloud-age, but I could not find info anywhere.
