The conversation below in relation to LISTENER_XE is very interesting.
I too, have the same issue with LISTENER_XE - password.
I set up Oracle 21c express and left it installing. When I can back it was all installed.
Sqldeveloper was executed. No problems or additional passwords being required.
I entered by SYS /SYSTEM password. Which i saved on my list of passwords.
When creating another connection used this password and set up the new connection (Yes, this did work). However, LISTENER_XE does not allow me to enter that password or just to hit enter.
I have checked the directories and cannot find any documentation to suggest if there is a default LISTENER_XE password.
Could there be an issue with LISTENER_XE password setup?
Everything else works.
Please advise.
