Is it possible to replicate an uncompressed table to an identical table, that has been created in a compressed tablespace?

User_C236IOct 19 2023

Hi.

My environment is Oracle 19c and scenario is:

SOURCEDB SCHEMA.TABLE is uncompressed, created in a non-compressed tablespace

TARGETDB=SOURCEDB SCHEMA.TABLE_COMPRESSED is an identical table to the uncompressed SOURCEDB SCHEMA.TABLE but has been created in a compressed tablespace.

I would like to use goldendate to replicate the source table to the destination table (source and target dbs are the same, source table name and target table name are different), is this possible?

The SOURCEDB SCHEMA.TABLE is highly active and large (multi-terabyte). Runtime to perform the initial load/replication is not a concern, just that the destination SCHEMA.TABLE_COMPRESSED is accomplished.
