IB Network measurement: ibdatacounts

User_QH55XJul 2 2020

Hi
we are to monitor IB switch-to-switch connection between Exalogic and Exadata and to measure the bandwith and the performance

The command ibdatacounts  shows a bit strange results:

Please help to answer the following questions

1. Why XmtPkts and RcvPkts are growing and same time XmtData & RcvData are not growing? Is it Maxed?
2. For what period the data shows? Is it since ibswitch last reboot?
3.  What is the packet size of XmtPkts and RcvPkts?
4. Do i understand correctly, the XmtData & RcvData are counting octets, i.e. 64bit==8bytes each count?

Thank you in advance

Yuriy
