How to change the IP Address of a FMW Forms 12c (12.2.1.4)

myluismJun 5 2020 — edited Aug 29 2020

Hi all.

I have this scenario:

  1. Oracle FMW Forms and Reports 12c (12.2.1.4) on a Oracle Linux box (Oracle Linux Server release 7.6) on VM:
  2. All components reside on this same host: Admin  Server, Managed Servers (Forms and Reports) HTTP Server.
  3. The Infrastructure Database resides on another Oracle Linux box and wil not change.
  4. The host needs to change the IP Address only.

I have found this link which describes the general procedure:

https://docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/fusion-middleware/12.2.1.4/asadm/changing-network-configurations.html#GUID-D17AC10…

Since I'm not familiar with this procedure and chghost.sh usage, i have several doubts:

1 .On creating the input file (step 3) which is the syntax for changing ip address?

2. On step 5 regarding usage of chghost.sh also the syntax for specifying -chgHostInputFile input_file argument.

In general i'd like confirmation if this is the correct procedure to follow and an example would be of great help !!!

For the moment i"ll keep researching. I have a real hurry to solve this issue so i really appreciate help on you wise guys.

Thanks so much in advance !!!
