GRID Layout in Side Region

Hi,
It's possible to use the GRID Layout in a SIde Region?
For example, I want to use checkboxes within a Side Region, but I can only place one checkbox on a row.
This is not really nice, I want to put three checkboxes on a row.
Is this possible for a Side Region?
