Four-Eyes principle of approval

emsimango - oracleMar 15 2010 — edited Mar 15 2010
Hi All,

I am facing this challenges evaluating the Oracle SOA Suite against what IBM has and against some of the functionality they have implemented at Vodacom.

I looking for help on how we can achieve this with SOA Suite??

Four-Eyes principle of approval - Does SOA Suite support assignment to a group, excluding cetarin users??

a. Our current implementation has a data payload flowing thru the process which contains the users who have interacted with the process. E.g. the process goes thru an approval path of LDAP Group [GP1[u1, u2, u3], GP2[u2,u3,u1], GP3[u2,u5,u1], where uX is a user.

b. So an example is u1 originates the process, and it creates a task called Review, which is assigned to LDAP Group GP1. Our current implementation has a staff verb called “Member of Group excluding Named Users”. So the engine creates a task where all the Potential Owners are members of GP1 but excluding the Originator user, i.e. the users who see the task is u2, u3.

c. So now on the above process u2 approves the task and it goes to APPROVAL1 task which is assigned to GP2, with excluded users extracted from the payload attribute originator and reviewer. Hence ONLY u3 can see the task….etc….
