financila reprt- prompts

Hi all,
In financial reports i have got 2 columns..i need to have a year dim in a column as user promt (Year=user prompt)and in nxt column i need to have the selected year promt-1 (Year=userprompt-1).

I have got substitution variables curryear,prevyear........how can i achieve it.
