Essbase members stored vs never share

Hi All

In Essbase (PBCS etc.) the conventional wisdom for the use of "Never Share" and "Stored" member settings is that we should use Never Share as the default. I've recently heard that Stored should be used as the go to setting rather than Never Share in that it is more optimal for the index. Has anyone else heard of this? And can explain in more depth why this should be the case?
