Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'ksplice-uptrack'

Naman NirgunOct 2 2024

Hello OEL Experts

I have a freshly installed Oracle Linux Server 8.10 from Azure Marketplace.

I am trying to update the server using ‘yum update’, but each time I'm getting below error

[root@<server_name> <user>]# yum check-update
Ksplice Uptrack for Oracle Linux 0.0 B/s | 0 B 00:00
Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'ksplice-uptrack':

  • Curl error (35): SSL connect error for https://www.ksplice.com/yum/uptrack/ol/8/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml [OpenSSL SSL_connect: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL in connection to www.ksplice.com:443 ]
Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'ksplice-uptrack': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried

I have tried to disable the 'ksplice-uptrack' repo but I am getting the same error with the all other repos also like 'ol8_baseos_latest'.
I have also tried to stop & disable my firewall service and also to allow connection from all ports inbound & outbound from azure but still getting the same error.

I have scorched the internet for answers but haven't found.

Hope someone from this community can help me.

Thanks in advance.
