EBS Cloud manager - backup best practices

I have installed and am running EBS Cloud Manager to provision all of my 12.2.13 environments.

What are the best practices for backing up the databases?

  1. Is the backup from EBS cloud manager sufficient to run daily?
  2. Should I be running separate rman backups of the database
    1. if so will they interfere with the backups taken from EBS Cloud Manager
