Displaying date prompt in report.

Hi All,
i have one prompt (date) i have to display that date (prompt ) in report sub heading. for this i am using presentation variable and i am able to show that value ( date ) in report. my issue is my date prompt is mm/dd/yyyy format but in report it is displaying yyyy-mm-dd format.
example : in prompt if date is 9/27/2012 it is displaying in report as 2012-09-27.
where i i can use date conversion function or how can i achieve this one in OBIEE 10g.

please help me.
