From my understanding, there are no versions of Oracle Workflow greater than 2.6.X. Oracle Corporation announces the end of Error Correction Support for Oracle Workflow Cartridge version(s) 2.6.X on the following platform(s): ALL Platforms, effective 11-SEP-2007. Oracle Workflow Client and Oracle Workflow Server will not be included in Oracle Database Editions 11g and above.

In note 391546.1, Oracle Corporation recommends customers upgrade/migrate to the following as soon as possible to maintain the highest level of support:

--Customers are recommended to migrate to the Oracle BPEL Process Manager.
--A restricted use version of Oracle Workflow components will be embedded in Oracle Warehouse Builder for customers licensed to use Oracle Warehouse Builder for Oracle Database 11g R1

My customer is using standalone workflow for a mission critical application, and they are freaking out at this point. Oracle Workflow comes with the database, but BPEL is a standalone product that they do not want to buy. Is Oracle offering BPEL free to existing workflow customer? I have yet to find any documentation for migrating from Workflow to BPEL.

Has anyone else seen this email.
