CTXCAT vs CONTEXT

Hi,
I try to understand what are differences(benefit) between CTXCAT and CONTEXT index.
According Oracle doc :
-CTXCAT is a transactional index OK But with SYNC(on commit) CONTEXT becomes also a transactional one?
-CTXCAT index is larger than CONTEXT index
-CTXCAT don't work on partionned table
-CTXCAT is less "powerfull" than CONTEXT-≥ I begin with Oracle Text and I have difficulties to understand differences(CTXCAT with CONTEXT grammar???)

Have you please some information to clarify my mind?
