Hello,
in our Company we have an Oracle RDS Databasein AWS, Connection is encrypted with SSL. A other Department is replicating data to our Database and the OGG_POST User connects over SSL and all is working fine.
But the Engineer Team of OGG from the department telled that they cant connect to our Database the same way with the veridata Agents and insists that we generete a self signed certificate provide it and import the certicate in our Database Wallet. Like here explained Connecting Oracle GoldenGate Veridata to SSL-Enabled Oracle Database
But our Database in AWS is an managed Service, this means more of a “Database as Service”, we can configure all oracle database related settings but there is no access to the Host Maschine of the Database, the SSL Certificate is provided by AWS as a Bundle for the Region that the Database is located but nothing more, i can import the Certificate in every Client Wallet and connect as usual but OGG Team from the other Department insists that is not possible this way.
Is there really no other way? Why can't the veridata user not connect like every other Client and we need to excahnge Certificates?
Thanks for your help!
