Change On Hover In Menu With Theme Roller

I am trying to make some changes with the theme roller.

I want the colour to be a bit lighter when an item is clicked in the menu or on hover.

I have tried changing the Menu Item Hover state to a lighter colour but it does not change or I get an error

Any ideas of what I am doing wrong ?
