Can we apply JRE updates freely 1.6.0_131 on existing Sun JRE 1.6.0_20 packaged with our product?

Hi,

We are packaging Sun JRE 1.6.0_20 which was available freely to all, with our product. But recently getting javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException while using REST API.

handling exception: java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not generate DH keypair

After searching on various forums and blogs noticed that problem might be resolved with latest JRE 1.6 updates i.e.JRE 1.6.0_131.  We tried to download the JRE 1.6.0_131 but looks not available for download to all.

We have below queries related to JRE 1.6.0_131 and looking for answers:

1. Is this JRE update free (1.6.0_131) for all people who currently using older JRE 1.6.0_20 in their product ?

2. Problem looks related to TLS v1.x support with older JRE 1.6.0_20 and causing issue with REST API calls recently on new windows OS like Windows 10, Windows 2016. So, can we get the JRE updates freely to resolve it or Do we need to pay license extra cost for JRE updates?

3. Are there any legal or licensing issues if we package new JRE updates 1.6.0_131 with our product instead of older JRE 1.6.0_20?

Thanks and Regards,

Laxmikant
