Can OIC OpenAI adapter upload files or we need custom REST call for that?

Hi,

We need to send files (pdf mainly) to OpenAI for data extraction, can we utilize OpenAI Adapter based connection or we have to create REST based connection for the same?
I see references of OpenAI Adapter based connection, if that accepts, does it return any reference that we can reuse?
