Can a Dashboard Prompt be stored in a Session Varaiable?

I have a requirement to store dashboard prompt (multiselect prompt); can I set the prompt value as value of a dynamic or non-system session variable and use it in a report or in BMM layer? If yes can you direct me, thanks your input
