Application Composer: Custom Object Migration

Hello,

Is it possible to migrate a custom object from one instance to another ? I do not prefer customization set because it does not give ability to pick and choose.

I found the below note on Metalink, but the documentation is not clear enough on which 'Task' or 'Task List' to select for exporting Custom Object definition using FSM configuration packages.

We have a lot of child objects, UI screens defined on the object which makes it cumbersome to define on every instance. Please share any easier way to automate this, best practices etc.
