We're pleased to announce that the TimesTen Kubernetes Operator supports non-replicated TimesTen Classic objects, a useful feature that enables databases to operate independently with no dependencies between them. This functionality is available in TimesTen 22.1.1.27.0. With this capability, you can:
- Create, manage, and monitor individual TimesTen Classic objects and associated databases with ease
- Upgrade or downgrade to new patches or patch sets seamlessly
- Track the overall status of non-replicated TimesTen Classic objects with detailed metrics
- Gain valuable insights into object and database health through high-level state management
Additionally, with the release of TimesTen 22.1.1.30.0, you'll also gain access to two additional new features:
- Dynamic Database Scaling: For non-replicated configurations, you can now easily adjust the number of databases deployed in your Kubernetes namespace.
- Enhanced Node Monitoring: The Operator can detect and respond to nodes that become unready or unknown for an extended period, helping to maintain system stability and prevent potential issues.
For a complete list of new features, enhancements, and important information, please refer to the Release Notes https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/other-databases/timesten/22.1/release-notes/index.html
Note that these two new features are exclusive in TimesTen 22.1.1.30.0 and later releases, so be sure to upgrade to take advantage of these innovative capabilities and stay up-to-date with the latest functionality.
This latest version of TimesTen is 22.1.1.32.0 and it’s available for download on https://www.oracle.com/database/technologies/timesten-downloads.html
