We upgraded to 12.2.15. User updated a contact in a supplier record. This resulted in over 2000 FYI notifications being sent. They went to every employee, every supplier and every ex-employee (accounts deactivated). Response from Oracle SR is that they added this due to a “FBI Guideline” and it cannot be deactivated.
Things we have tried:
Modifying the workflow eliminates the notifications but this is not supported
Adding a function exception for "POS_HT_SP_B_CONT_ADD" on every responsibility has reduced the number of notifications down to about 200. Most of these are ex-employees which makes no sense at all.
