zip and pdf files not recognized on OEL 4

Dear All,

I have recently installed OEL 4 on my VM 8.0. Now my next plan is to install oracle apps R12 on VM, i have downloaded all the files for R12 from oracle site and made a iso file on my physical machine. Now when i am attaching the iso file on to my OEL4 VM, i am able to open image(iso) file but files inside iso i.e. zip files are not recongnized by VM, zip file name is coming as junk character and when i do right click on file it is not giving any option to extract the file. Am i missing any package/rpm?, same is the case with pdf files.

I have one more VM with RHEL4 installed on it, same iso file(having R12 zips) is working like charm on it.
