ZFS Storage appliance - DR site storage replication

MinoBHAug 15 2016 — edited Feb 15 2017

Hi,

I have a problem with presenting replicated project from Primary ZFS appliance on other ZFS which is on the DR site, to OVMM.

This is a scenario:

On Primary site I have OVMM and OVS's, and ZFS appliance. There is Project on ZFS which has some NFS share which are exported to OVS's en VM's.

On the DR site I have also OVM, OVS's and ZFS appliance. All software version are the same, images, updates etc..

Idea is to use ZFS storage level replication from primary to DR site, then for test case shutdown primary site and bring up everything on DR site.

On DR site I have only software installed on OVMM and OVS servers, and I want to use replicated project from to startup VM's.

I have successfully discovered OVS server, DR site ZFS is added to OVM.

Now problem is that I can only see one Shared NFS, and I am unable to create new repository, because I don't see other shares.

When I try use replicated share from primary site, and edit it by presenting it my pool on DR site, i get the error:

ovmru_002017e cannot perform operation This repository: myrep, is not owned by this manager

Do you have any idea what nneds to be done on storage level, set some permissions, or do something that i have missed?

Regards,

Elmin.
