YTD

user12301184Sep 18 2011 — edited Oct 3 2011
Hi All,

My report looked like
Name-Date..........--Amt
Amy-- 08/12/2011--495
Amy-- 08/15/2011--415
Amy-- 08/17/2011--395

And then I added YTD in my report where I used following in column formula

TODATE("Fact - Check"."Amount", "Time"."Time Hierarchy"."Year")

Then I started getting

Name-Date..........--Amt--YTD
Amy-- 08/12/2011--495--495
Amy-- 08/13/2011---------495
Amy-- 08/14/2011---------495
Amy-- 08/15/2011--415--910
Amy-- 08/16/2011---------910
Amy-- 08/17/2011--395--1305

Why do I get two rows extra once I get the YTD column in? In the RPD the time table does join to the fact but still when I look in the SQL being generated there is an outer join with the fact. My requirement is to base YTD totals on end date provided by the user. So if the user entered end date 08/15/2011 my report should look like

Name-Date..........--Amt--YTD
Amy-- 08/12/2011--495--910
Amy-- 08/15/2011--415--910

How can I achieve this?

Thanks in advance.
