Running APEX 24.1.2 in the Cloud (although this has been a problem before this release)
When I log out from my APEX application using the application's Log Out link the following things happen:
- User gets a message “Your session has ended.” in a grey popup box for a very short time
- Immediately afterwards, without interacting with the pop-up, the user is correctly redirected to the login page.
- This message is also recorded in the session's Error Messages against the last page that I was viewing (see image below)
Is this grey popup message expected?

- Log Out link is as follows: https://our_url/ords/development/apex_authentication.logout?p_app_id=999&p_session_id=3340890499302
- We have a custom authentication
- Post Logout Procedure updates some tables in our database - this works
- Post-Logout URL is set as ‘Home Page’ : f?p=&APP_ID.:1:&SESSION.
