Hi All,
Thanks for reading my post and hope you will be able to help me resolve my problem.
We are a Oracle Cloud ExaCC customer and in the process of migration on-prem DBs' to the Cloud.
Most of the on-prem DBs' are 12c(12.1.0.2), ExaCC target in 19c(19.18 or latest patch)
Amoungst the number of options we have to migration we use XTTS the most to migrate DBs'.
Fundamentally XTTS gives us so much more ease, flexibility and speed of upgrading and also quick rollback option that seems matchless with other options such as in-place upgrade or DBAASCLI or even DataPUMP.
One problem that is creating havoc is STATISTICS, I am unable to exclude STATISTICS during EXPDP operation which is completely automatic not in my control.
I have tried adding EXCLUDE=STATISTICS parameter during IMPDP but it never gets honored, IMPDP will always imports statistics whatever I mention in the parfile.
The problem use just this import of statistics(MARKER) step takes hours and hours to complete….something 10hrs, all depends on the number of objects on the source.
The entire TTS operation is done using Oracle supplied XTTS driver - V4 Reduce Transportable Tablespace Downtime using Cross Platform Incremental Backup (Doc ID 2471245.1)….the file is called rman_xttconvert_VER4.3.zip
This is fantastic Perl based tool that greater simplifies XTTS.
Can you please help me to figure out a way to EXCLUDE statistics either during expdp or impdp.
If expdp then we have to modify the perl script that is present within Oracle supplied rman_xttconvert_VER4.3.zip.
Thanks a lot once again.
