xterm not working under oracle user

Hi,

i have oracle 10.2.0 in redhat linux enterprise4

when i login as root the xterm works.

but when i login as oracle, xterm does not work.
even if i export display as localhost:0.0, still xterm doesnot work under user "oracle"
how can i fix this.
