xsd:Date displayed in wrong format

Hi,

I''ve got an xsd:date being converted to a Calendar (this is ok) by JAXB, but being written in the wrong format.

It's being displayed as:

2005-08-10-07:00

when i expect only 2005-08-10

any ideas? I've tried this with jaxb 1.0 and 1.3. I tried 1.6 but it conflicted with the version of the jdk that i am using.
