XQuery vs XSLT vs Java/Dozer

We are using OSB and SOA Suite.
In OSB there is excellent support for XQuery,
in SOA Suite for XSLT.

I would like to keep all important data mapping in OSB using XQuery,
eventually using Java with Dozer for EXTREMELY complex transformations, using a Java Callout in either OSB or SOA Suite.

Anybody can tell real life stories on this subject?
Any clear pattern that points towards the use of one technology vs the other?
