XML -> HTML open with IE mime Excel

Hi

Could someone please let me know how i can open an HTML file using Internet Explorer which will then in turn open Excel (in IE). I know i have to set the mime type somewhere but i do no know where.

I am using XSLT to convert my XML into HTML (which is in table format) and i need IE to open the file and display it in Excel.
