Xming Vs VNC

Hi,

In VNC, if I am submitting long running jobs on linux....like backup/copy 300Gb Oracle data, I can close the VNC window without the job getting aborted when I logout my PC, and then login back the VNC window is still active.

Is this possible in Xming too?
