Carsten recently shared a great PL/SQL package to parse XLSX files, works very nicely and can be easily modified to support more than 50 columns, something the equally nifty plugin from Anton cannot do!
Question - Other file types like PDF, JPG, etc. produce an error message ORA-20000: WORKSHEET "sheet1" DOES NOT EXIST which is fine but if a XLS (instead of XLSX) file is passed to the package, it just hangs!
Any ideas on how this can be improved?
